Physiotherapy Services

What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a medical, hands-on approach to relieving pain and restoring function. Physiotherapy services include a broad range of treatment approaches that can help individuals live supported, strong, and mobile lives! Physiotherapists are medical experts in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and work closely with physicians, strength & conditioning coaches, massage therapists, and additional practitioners to support your whole health.

Our Saskatoon-based physiotherapists evaluate your movement patterns, identify the cause of your pain, and work to eliminate it. While every client’s condition and pain is unique, your physiotherapist will use a variety of gentle hands-on techniques, exercises, and equipment to relieve pain quickly and restore your function to optimum levels. The overall goal is to restore pain-free mobility and function and to prevent the injury or pain from recurring.

CONCUSSION MANAGEMENT

Craven SPORT Services is proud to be a leader of concussion treatment in Saskatoon – a branch of physiotherapy that deals directly with the prevention, diagnosis, and management of concussions. Concussions occur when a head trauma causes a surge of ATP (energy) in the brain, and is followed by a decline of function that can last several weeks. It is fundamental to the health of the concussion sufferer that they are appropriately returned to work, sport, and life only when the concussion is fully healed. Our Concussion Management certified physiotherapists will not only diagnose the concussion, but ensure that the patient recovers fully to minimize long-term damage. Concussion Baseline Testing (that provides a pre-injury benchmark) is another important component of this process.
