Karen graduated from the College of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 1996. She opened Craven SPORT services in April 2004 and is currently the CEO and co-owner, with Bruce Craven, of Craven SPORT services. Karen has a BSc. (Anat), BSc. (PT), Dip Sport (PT), Sport First Responder Certificate, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Karen has also taken various courses for Clinic Owners and Management focusing on the areas of organizational structure, communication, systems, and marketing. She is currently an active member of the Clinic Accelerator program, the first Canadian organization for clinic owners.
Karen specialized in sport physiotherapy and obtained her Dip Sport (PT) in 2002. She worked in sport for several years and traveled with various sport teams for National and International sporting events. In the last several years Karen has taken on the role of the CEO and spends her days working with her Directors and Managers and running the company.
Karen has interests in fitness and health, keeping herself in shape with weight lifting, spin classes, yoga, and long walks with her dog. She has a huge love of her family and three kids, Sarah, Max and Hannah, spending as much time with them as possible. Karen loves dogs, long walks at the dog parks, reading, movies, wine, popcorn and chocolate!
