Ty received his Bachelors in Kinesiology with Great Distinction in 2016, and his Masters in Physical Therapy in 2020 both from the University of Saskatchewan. Ty grew up playing sports and quickly became fascinated with the science behind human movement. He chose to pursue a career in physiotherapy so that he could stay involved in the sporting world and help others meet their movement goals.
Ty began volunteering with Craven SPORT Services in 2019, working as a team trainer for the Saskatoon Valkyries under CSS Physiotherapist Michelle Keene. While completing his master’s degree, he also worked at CSS as a kinesiologist alongside Bruce Craven, supporting the group training for Basketball Saskatchewan and the REX soccer program. Ty is currently the OA lead physiotherapist for the Craven SPORT Services Osteoarthritis Program.
Ty enjoys working with clients of all ages and helping clients rehabilitate hip, knee, and ankle injuries. He is also Complete Concussion Management certified and has a special interest in helping clients treat and manage concussions.
In his personal time, Ty enjoys playing sports, travelling, spending time outdoors, and spending time with his wife and two boys. This includes downhill skiing, golfing, disc golfing, soccer, basketball, and volleyball! Ty has travelled to 15 different countries with his wife and plans to continue adding to his list.
