MEET YOUR COACHES

Brandi Venne, Craven SPORT Services OnTrack Lead/Coach

Brandi is a passionate runner who has experienced remarkable growth under the coaching of Bruce Craven, Craven SPORT Services Partner, Physiotherapist and Coach. In 2025, Brandi expanded her racing pursuits into trail running, earning 1st Female and 4th Overall in the Beaver Flat 50. She was also on the podium at the Canmore 5 Peaks, Sinister 7 Ultra, and the Grizzly Ultra Marathon, showcasing her versatility across challenging terrain. Brandi is headed to Mountain Running Nationals in Quebec in July 2026!

In 2023, she placed 2nd in the province for women in the Saskatchewan Marathon and later that year completed another marathon in 2:56.

Currently competing in Masters track events, Brandi also shares her knowledge and expertise by leading Craven’s OnTrack programs including Run Club, Stretch Out Your Run, Learn to Run, and one-on-one programming dedicated to getting runners race ready!. She finds fulfillment in guiding runners toward their goals and personal bests, applying the same principles that have driven her own success. As a certified CanFitPro, her expertise is invaluable to both the Craven team and the running community in Saskatoon.

Running is both Brandi’s passion and her essential form of escape. Whether it’s an easy run while socializing with friends or tackling a challenging workout, running helps to stay grounded, happy, and energized. With over 20 years of experience, Brandi runs not only for enjoyment and competition but also for its profound impact on her mental well-being.

Brandi’s personal bests include:

  • Marathon: 2:51
  • Half Marathon: 1:19
  • 10km: 36min

Jason Warick, OnTrack Coach
NCCP Performance Coach-Track & Field, Speed Skating

Jason has been coaching athletes of all ages, abilities and backgrounds for the past 25 years. He’s a certified NCCP Performance Coach in two sports – track and field and speed skating. Jason played competitive soccer, hockey and volleyball as a youth, and is the Saskatchewan record holder in the marathon (2 hours, 19 minutes). He’s represented Canada internationally and has trained or raced in more than 20 countries, from Germany to Kenya to Australia. He still enters the odd running or xc ski event, but he’s most proud to be one of the few people who can go for a run, bike or ski with both his kids, Angelina and Taras, and his parents, Randy and Judy.
